John combines big-firm transactional experience with the judgment and personal attention of a boutique practice.
John began his legal career in New York City, where he practiced in mergers and acquisitions and complex corporate transactions. His work included acquisitions and dispositions of public and private companies, take-private transactions, private equity investments, and sophisticated corporate restructurings. After developing that technical foundation in one of the world’s leading legal and financial markets, John relocated to Sun Valley, Idaho, and founded his own practice.
That experience informs every aspect of his work today. John brings a transactional lawyer’s understanding of business structure, incentives, capital, and risk to litigation and dispute resolution, allowing him to see beyond the immediate dispute and develop strategies with the client’s broader business objectives in mind.
East Avenue Law was built around a simple premise: sophisticated legal representation should be accessible, efficient, and personal. John embraces virtual practice as a way to provide clients with greater flexibility without compromising the attorney-client relationship. Clients are welcome to meet with him personally in Sun Valley or work with him remotely from anywhere in the region.
An avid aviator, John also takes advantage of private aviation to serve clients throughout Idaho and Washington. This allows East Avenue Law to maintain the personal service of a boutique firm while serving clients across a broad geographic area.
